As recalled by the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy, St. Sister Faustina Kowalska very much wanted each of the sisters of her order to experience a year of silence and silence in a contemplative convent once in her life.

The Erem Foundation was established to follow this thought of Sister Faustina, to create a network of hermitages, ie places of silence and contemplation, which could serve diocesan priests throughout Poland and abroad. The Foundation also wants to promote all forms of contemplation and retreat in different time dimensions. The Foundation wants to spread veneration for the Blessed Sacrament by spreading the idea of Eucharistic adoration. Currently, two hermitages have been established, one in the Lubelskie Voivodeship (St. Joseph’s Hermitage) and Pomeranian Voivodeship (St. Anthony’s Hermitage). Any priest or layman can take advantage of such a place.

At the same time, we are constantly looking for places and founders (donors) to create hermitages in Poland and abroad, to be able to fully enliven the contemplation of Eucharistic Jesus.
